The L-engine, is part of the MZR series (which is a brand name for a generation of engines, including the smaller Z-engines as well). So Ive just bought a 2010 2.2 Diesel TS2 Mazda 6. Great car, loving it so far. My question is re servicing. Its coming up for its 75k service, and according to my manual needs : Engine oil, Oil filter, Air filter, Brake fluid, Cabin air filter. A few dealers have been contacted, one quoted £930 !!!

Most people seem very happy with their petrol Mazda 6s: you need to use the revs to get the best out of this engine, but you should get used to it. Agree - it's a different driving style to a diesel. There are some petrol engines with good low-down torque, such as the VW Group 1.4 and 2.0 TSI.
Hi folks, I recently acquired this Mazda 6 2.2D and it seems the EGR valve probably needs a good cleaning. I bought some EGR cleaner and I've removed the exhaust which I believe goes from the EGR valve to the intake manifold. It actually wasn't bad at all.

Skyactiv 2.2D 1st problem. Started the car up and it turned over slower than normal and there was a slight rumble once started. It felt like one of the valves is lagging behind. This also happened last week. The video is from last week. Rumble sound at 3 secs in and gone by 5 secs in but noticeable.
